MAACS Bible, Academics, & Fine Arts Competition

Event date: March 18-20, 2020

Faith Baptist Bible College is pleased to welcome all of our guests and competitors for the 2020 MAACS Bible, Academics, and Fine Arts Competition! Below is helpful information regarding Faith’s facilities and the local Ankeny area.

Arriving on campus
Registration will take place in the Nettleton Center.  Please enter the building through the south entrance. Faith will host a Wednesday evening service at 7:30 PM in the Nettleton Gym.  All on- and off-campus guests are invited to attend.  Dress is casual (jeans, khakis, etc.).

On-Campus Dining Options
Benson Dining Hall
Extended hours during the competition:
Breakfast: 6:30-8:00 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM-1:30 PM
Supper: 5:00-6:45 PM

  • All meals in Benson Hall are served buffet-style, and each meal includes a selection of main entrees, sides and beverages.  Lunch and supper also include a pizza bar, salad bar, and a dessert bar.
  • Allergies: Food items containing nuts are labeled for our allergy-sensitive guests. To request accommodation for other food allergies, please make your needs known to our dining service management prior to arriving on campus by emailing Mr. Terry Waltersdorf at
  • Discounted meal tickets will be available until February 28, and may be purchased by using the link below. (Discounted pricing:  Breakfast $6.25; Lunch & Supper $8.00)
  • Tickets purchased after February 28 will be available at full-price (Breakfast $7.50; Lunch & Supper $9.00).
  • Cash and credit/debit card are accepted in Benson Hall for those who wish to purchase their meals at the door.
  • All meal tickets are non-refundable.

Twigs Coffee Shop (in the Nettleton Center)

  • Will be open throughout the competition
  • Offers a variety of specialty coffee drinks and smoothies, pop, juice, energy drinks, sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, pastries, ice cream, candy, snacks, and  F’Real™ shakes.
  • Both cash and credit/debit cards are accepted.

Park Avenue Concessions (in the Nettleton Center)

  • Hours during the competition:
    • Thursday: 9:45 AM-6:30 PM
    • Friday: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Offers a variety of food items like pizza, nachos, super nachos, hot dogs, popcorn, candy, pop, etc.
  • Both cash and credit/debit cards are accepted.

On-Campus Dorm Housing
Limited on-campus dorm lodging is available at NO COST to students in grades 9-12 and sponsors only.  Dorm lodging is available on a first come, first served basis and typically fills up well in advance of the competition.  Early reservations are encouraged.
Dorm guests should plan to bring their own bedding, towel, and toiletries.  Some may also prefer to bring an air mattress as the availability of beds will be very limited.
