Faith Pulpit Day

Event date: April 11, 2017

Dr. Dave Doran, president of Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, will be this year’s speaker for our Faith Pulpit Day on Thursday, April 13, 2017. This year’s theme is “Judging Righteously: Developing and Displaying Discernment.” False prophets fill the airwaves, humanistic approaches to spirituality and ministry flow from the publishing houses, and our culture is “slouching toward Gomorrah.” If God’s servants are going to safely navigate life in the 21st century, spiritual discernment is essential.

Dr. David Doran is the senior pastor of Inter-City Baptist Church and President of Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as the Chairman of the Practical Theology Department. Dr. Doran received a B.A. from Bob Jones University and both the M.Div. and Th.M. from DBTS. He earned his D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Over several decades at ICBC, Dr. Doran has conducted an effective expository preaching and teaching ministry, established Grace Baptist Mission, and expanded outreach through campus evangelism and discipleship, mission conferences and more.
