Suffering and Sovereignty

Join us for this one-day conference designed to help you minister with greater compassion and insight to the suffering of the people in your church. Conference speakers will address suffering practically and theologically, discussing effective ways to help the hurting while presenting a biblical perspective on the problem of evil.

Conference Speakers

Pastor Ben Hartwig

Ben Hartwig has pastored Calvary Baptist Church in Greene, Iowa for eight years. We continue to pray for his family as his son Micah continues the ongoing battle against cancer. He will share from the insights on suffering God shown him through personal experiences.

Dr. Jeff Newman

Dr. Newman chairs the Biblical Counseling department at Faith Baptist Bible College and teaches adjunctly in the seminary. Having counseled extensively and trained counselors for many years, he will address how to counsel the suffering.

Mr. Andy Stearns

Mr. Andy Stearns teaches at Faith Baptist Bible College and serves as adjunct faculty in the seminary. He has taught multiple apologetic courses and will present a biblical apologetic on the problem of evil.
