Student Life Staff

Brandon Fritz: Dean of Students
I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Secondary Science Education degree. I then completed master’s degrees from Olivet Nazarene University and Montana State University. My wife, Natalie, and I lived in Williamsburg, Iowa for seventeen year serving at Harvest Baptist Church. We served with the youth, college, and young marrieds ministries. I’m currently serving as FBBC’s Interim Dean of Students, Adjunct Science Professor, Women’s Soccer Coach and the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. My vision and burden is discipleship and training young men and women to use their skill sets to be ambassadors for Christ in the various fields God has placed them in. My wife and I live in Ankeny along with our eight children, Karina, Kierstan, Eliana, Mirelli, Silas, Tyrza, Titus and Apollos. We attend Community Baptist Church, and I enjoy spending time with my family, spending time outdoors, personal fitness training, reading, and fellowship with other believers. Contact me here.

Sandy Capon: Dean of Women
After coming to Christ for salvation in 1983 at the age of 26, my husband, Tim, and I responded to God’s call to the gospel ministry. Tim left his profession as a civil engineer to train for the pastoral ministry at Faith Baptist Bible College. I began homeschooling our three children, worked alongside my husband in ministry, and actively involved the kids in every way we could. I served the Lord as a pastor’s wife for over 28 years, 5 years in South Des Moines, and then over 23 years at Faith Baptist Church in Carroll. Most recently, in May of 2014, the Lord directed us to a new ministry. Tim now serves as the IARBC State Representative, and now we live in Ankeny. God has blessed us with over 40 years of marriage, 3 children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and 9 grandchildren. I enjoy cooking, camping, hiking, biking, and turkey hunting with my husband. I had the opportunity to get to know Faith while working in the FBBC Bookstore. While working there, I had been praying for the God to give me more opportunities to disciple women, and God provided! I am excited to connect and serve the students here at Faith. Contact me here.

Rachel Palma: Student Life Administrative Assistant
I joined the Student Life staff in 2014 as the Administrative Assistant. I earned the B.S. degree from Faith Baptist Bible College. I love working with the student body and desire to help them in their transition to college life. It is truly a blessing to minister to our students on a daily basis, and I love seeing how the Lord works in their lives to conform them more into the image of His Son. Our students are also a great encouragement to me—they love the Lord and desire to serve Him on campus, in our community, and around the world. We really have the best students! Contact me here.

Cody Huber: Assistant Dean of Men
I grew up in Mason City, Iowa, working for our family business. From a young age, I always thought I would one day become a pastor, so upon high school graduation, I came to Faith to pursue a pastoral degree. After a year and a half at Faith, I left to pursue a successful career within the family business. During that time, I met my wife, Taylor, and we moved to Minnesota. While living in Minnesota, we served as youth directors at our local church for four years. God used this time to reignite my desire to serve in full-time ministry. This prompted our move back to Ankeny to return to my studies at Faith December 2015. I am currently a full-time student at Faith, studying Biblical Counseling and Pastoral Studies. This past summer Taylor and I welcomed our firstborn, Paisley Jo, into our family. Outside of class, I love to spend time with family and friends. I love all things coffee, football, and exploring new ideas. I look forward to challenging our students to risk their lives for Jesus.
It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Phil. 1:20–21) Contact me here.

Rebekah Stilwell: Assistant Dean of Women
I joined the Student Life Department in 2017 as the Assistant Dean of Women. I graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Women’s Ministries and Biblical Counseling. Both my experiences before college and my time at faith have grown my love for God’s Word and my desire to see women learn it for themselves. I love not only sharing the gospel with women, but also continuing that process with discipleship. Women have a tremendous opportunity to touch other women’s’ lives. That is what Faith emphasizes—teaching men and women to take the Word to the world. Contact me here.
