Alumni Reps

Our alumni reps extend the ministry of Eagle Nation by better communicating with prospective students, pastors, and fellow Faith alumni. They are equipped with resources, apparel, promotional materials, and firsthand knowledge of our school.

To help prospective students get to know the rep in their area, we asked them four questions:
1) What was your favorite study snack in college?
2) What program did you study while at Faith?
3) What did you most appreciate about your time at Faith?
4) What was your favorite activity to do with friends around campus or the Ankeny/Des Moines area?

Daniel & Krisanna Sternquist (’11)

1. Krisanna: Chips and Queso
Daniel: Sugar Snap Peas (if I was feeling healthy) or Swedish Fish
2. Krisanna: Elementary Education
Daniel: Biblical Studies/ Biblical Exposition/ Greek
3. Krisanna: I loved all the opportunities they provided to be involved from sports, to ministry teams, to music groups, to dorm life. I felt like there was something for everyone and it made college life fun!
Daniel: I greatly appreciated the friendships I made over the years. The majority of students were there because they wanted to serve the Lord, so Faith served as a great place for me to be surrounded and encouraged by believers who took their faith seriously. It was also filled with professors who genuinely cared about me academically and spiritually.
4. Krisanna: I loved going on walks or rollerblading with friends on the bike path near campus!
Daniel: I enjoyed playing disc golf and attending any of the local sports games in the area.

Alyssa Levy (’12)
1. My favorite study snack was probably trail mix or what it really should be called closet mix! I had a snack bin in my closet where I would just dump a bunch of snack foods into a container, mix them around, and have a fabulous one-of-a-kind snack!
2. I studied Elementary Education and added the ¡Arriba! program after I graduated.
3. I loved my professors and their personal interaction with us as students! I enjoyed getting to know them both in and out of class and even work alongside them at church ministries.
4. My favorite rainy day activity was to grab a cup of coffee and spend the day perusing the antiques at the Brass Armadillo. It was like stepping back into the past and it was a great break from studying.

2. Pastoral Training program with a minor in Greek. I am currently pursuing an M.Div. degree in the seminary.
3. My favorite memories from my time at faith all include fun times in the dorm. I enjoyed going to classes, goofing around, and spiritually growing with class friends I got to live with in the dorm. While I definitely do not miss some of the late nights, I do really miss the fellowship with those other men in that unique setting.
4. I often enjoyed going to Jethro’s BBQ or Buffalo Wild Wings with a group of guys, eating a bunch of wings, and watching a big game!
