Full-time Financial Aid Director

FBBC&TS is seeking to employ a full-time Financial Aid Director. This position will remain open until filled.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coordinate the student financial aid programs; within federal, state, and institutional guidelines.
  • Evaluate student’s needs and eligibility and determine type and amount of financial assistance.
  • Responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the school is in compliance with all federal aid requirements.
  • Develop and keep up to date all student financial assistance policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate all financial aid related communications to current and prospective students, answering questions, and providing needed assistance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with multiple groups of people including students and other employees.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A high degree of independent decisions based on standard procedures and internal policies is an expectation.
  • Knowledge of various state and federal rules.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word).
  • Background or experience with taxes/tax information.

Academic Qualifications

  • Previous experience is preferred but not required.
  • A two- or four-year college degree is recommended and knowledge of basic financial assistance procedures.
