Future Preachers is a local church ministry of purposeful discipleship and training for junior high and senior high young men who sense God may be calling them into ministry. Dr. James D. Maxwell III, the president of Faith, developed this program and used it successfully in his last two pastoral ministries.
Most churches have in them young men whom God may be calling to ministry. Future Preachers is a program to help you identify these young men and train them for ministry. This program enables you to fulfill the instruction Paul gave Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2. "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." In Future Preachers you are taking the things you have learned and passing them on to the young men so they can minister to others as well.
The Future Preachers notebook contains 30 lessons you will teach the young men in your program. You will need a Leader's Notebook for yourself and a Student Notebook for all the young men in your program. Future Preachers also features specially-designed ties for you and the young men. Order these resources at the Faith Bookstore (800.352.0146).
Churches that want to use Future Preachers are to complete an application so they can be chartered. There is no fee for the chartering process. Upon approval, your church will be sent a certificate of charter and you can initiate an official Future Preachers program. A church needs to charter with Future Preachers to be able to purchase the Future Preachers notebooks and ties.
