Successful 2015 FaithFest
Another campus event has come and gone as Faith Baptist Bible College hosted its ninth FaithFest on Saturday, October 3. As usual, we had more than 16 inflatable activities for teens and staff to enjoy for the day. Patrick Odle, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Elyria, Ohio, came as this year’s evangelistic speaker.
FaithFest is our fall youth rally that attracts teens from across the Midwest to the Faith campus for a day of fun activities and preaching. This year more than 500 teens and 36 youth groups came from Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, and Missouri to join in the FaithFest fun. We even had the help of Iowa Regular Baptist Camp, which brought several activities including bubble soccer, one of our more popular activities. From inflatables and tournaments to car-bashing and rally sessions, the list of activities on campus kept visitors and staff busy for the day.
We were thankful to have Pastor Patrick Odle bring God’s Word to both staff and visitors. He presented the gospel clearly, and he encouraged both students and staff from the Word. It was great to see 81 of our Faith students volunteer their Saturday to serve for the event in several positions like game operators, registration staff, first aid, and meal assistants.
After a long and fruitful day, it’s safe to say FaithFest 2015 was a success. We are already looking forward to next year’s FaithFest for what God will do for us and through us.
