God Will Provide for You
Kellie Warne will be starting her sophomore year at Faith Baptist Bible College this fall. She is passionate about life and is excited to see what God has for her through the Elementary Education program at Faith. This is her story of how God has provided for her: When God made it clear He wanted me at Faith, I immediately thought, "How am I ever going to afford it?!" I knew that if I were ever going to attend Faith, I needed to trust God to provide the funds to do so. I also knew I needed to be diligent in seeking ways to pay for college.
Immediately I saw God providing in various ways for me. Initially I had to speak to my grandmother about God leading me to Faith. Thankfully I had a weapon under my belt when I presented Faith to her: Scholarship Weekend. I knew I needed some type of game plan to show her my seriousness about Faith. I also had a Talents For Christ scholarship to help in funding my college education. I explained to my grandmother how I would look for scholarships, work hard, and plan diligently in order to make Faith happen.
As the months went on, I applied for countless scholarships in my home state of Nebraska. My grandparents and I took the trip to Faith for Scholarship Weekend in order to see what scholarships were also available. I worked a part-time job, saved, and prayed diligently, all the while trusting God would provide. He did just that.
Letters in the mail began rolling in. For anyone who has experienced receiving letters in the mail that say you are a recipient of a scholarship, you know they are better than any birthday or Christmas you have had in previous years. I received news from Faith informing me of a scholarship I received for four years. I couldn’t believe how faithful He was to me and how amazingly He proved it to me!
God was and still is showering me with blessings, and I couldn't be more thankful. Even as I continue my education here at Faith, I have found many more opportunities for scholarships. If God is leading you to Faith, do not let financial fears keep you from attending. If this is where God wants you, He will provide a way. Remember that all things work out for those who love God (Rom. 8:28). He can provide for you, just like He did for me.
