international students
Testimony from Willi Slischewski
Where are you from?
Ingolstadt, Germany
What was your major?
Biblical Studies
How was the admissions process?
It was great. I talked to my admissions counselor on the phone and emailed him with any questions, he was very helpful. I also was able to receive the international student scholarship. I really felt like faith wanted me here and they wanted me to succeed.
Was it difficult for you to adjust to campus life?
Not at all. The faculty were great and took the time to explain the content to me. I also had a great R.A. (resident advisor) who helped get me plugged in.
How were you able to impact other students on campus?
I was heavily involved with SMF (student missionary fellowship) I feel I was able to help Faith students see that not all mission work is to third world countries, Germany needs our help as well!
Why would other international students benefit from coming to Faith?
Faith really emphasizes the local church. They don’t have a “campus church” because they want their students out getting real life practical ministry experience. So I would say the local church involvement and the opportunity to get to know American Culture and interact with other international students.
So what do you plan to do know?
My wife and I are planning on returning to Germany soon to plant churches.
