Important definitions:
*EFC (Expected Family Contribution) Is based on your FASFA (Free application for Federal Student Aid).   This is a number calculated by the Federal Government and used to determine what, if any, state or federal aid you are eligible for. For Iowa Residents, if your EFC is 13,500 or under you will receive the $3,750 Iowa Tuition Grant as well as the $1,500 Faith Institutional Grant. Almost 70% of our Iowa students receive this aid.  To see what your EFC might be, go to fafsa4caster.ed.gov.
*Student Reservation Deposit: $200 deposit for new and re-enrolling students that is deducted from your total school bill.  This secures your spot in the dorm, allows you to request a roommate and receive your class schedule. This down payment is non-refundable after June 15.
*Down payment: $1500 required down payment that is deducted from your total school bill.  This down payment is non-refundable after July 1.
*State aid:  The Iowa Tuition Grant is awarded to all Iowa students with an EFC of 13,500 or less.
*Institutional aid: FBBC annually awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to new and returning students. The vast majority of new student scholarships are awarded at Scholarship Weekend. Scholarships are awarded based on the student's program of choice, academics, leadership ability or potential, and other ministry experiences. The Great Scripture Scholarship is a program that allows students to earn $500 a semester towards their school bill by memorizing assigned portions of Scripture(The Faith Institutional Grant is awarded to all Iowa students who qualify for the Iowa Tuition Grant)
*Plus Loan:  This is aparent loan for undergraduate students.  Credit approval is required for this Parent Loan.   It can be taken out for up to the entire cost of the academic year.
*Alternative Loans: Upon credit approval this loan may be taken out for up to the entire cost of the academic year. A co-signer is usually required.
*Automatic Monthly Payment Plan: An enrollment fee of $25 is all that is required to take part in this interest free, monthly payment plan provided to you as a ministry of FBBC.  As many as 12 monthly payments may be made, however the last payment for the current academic year must be April. That means that a student planning on enrolling at Faith in the fall can start making payments as early as July.
