Director of Admissions
I head up the Admissions Department here at Faith. Since I love to meet people, and work one-on-one with high school and college students, it’s a perfect fit! After graduating from college and seminary here at Faith, I was given the opportunity to work full-time in the Admissions Department and I took it! My wife, Erin, and our three children (Hayden, Hudson, and Avlyn) love to interact with our students both here on campus and in our home as well. One of the favorite parts of my ministry here at Faith is the opportunity I have to meet teens as I speak at camps, churches, and schools and see God lead them to Faith where they grow, graduate, and then go impact the world for Christ.
I’m from Duluth, Minnesota, and as a teenager God gave me a burden to spend my life serving Him—however He would allow me to. It was that burden that brought me to Faith to study as a student, and it’s what has kept me here serving alongside our Admissions team organizing the itineraries and travel details for Tyler, Phil, and Noah as well as our summer ministry teams. I absolutely love missions, traveling, and college students, and it is a highlight of my year to take a team of our students to South Africa for three weeks each summer and watch how God uses the overseas experience to mold and change their perspective on life and ministry—just as He continues to do for me. When I’m not sitting behind my desk or cuddling sweet orphans in South Africa, I love making meals with friends, doing just about anything outside, or traveling anywhere in the world.
I was an Admissions caller for 3 years while a student at Faith. I graduated in May of 2011 with my Elementary Education degree. I love Faith and its desire to train people in the Word, so I continued working here as the Admissions Coordinator. In December of 2011 I married my best friend from kindergarten. We recently began serving as the youth leaders at a church in the Ankeny area and are excited to see how God uses this ministry to grow us and impact the teens' lives as well. As the Admissions Coordinator for Faith, I love sharing my passion for the school, so please e-mail or call me with any questions.
I am the Admissions guy that travels the continental United States of America telling students about Faith. I graduated from a public high school in Iowa before coming to Faith. I love basketball and God used that interest as a means of making me consider coming for a few years of Bible college. But once I got here, God used Faith to mature me from a very immature freshman to a guy who is much more prepared for ministry. I graduated with a Biblical Studies degree in 2009 after spending a year in Peru on the ARRIBA! program. That was an intense year of growth for me and something that I strongly recommend for all students, whether they want to pursue a life on the mission field or not. I joined the Admissions team in July of 2010 after studying in the seminary at Faith for a year. I have traveled to 41 states for Faith to hundreds of churches and Christian schools, sharing what God is doing in Faith and how He used Faith in my life. I don't know where God may lead me in the future, but I hope that He continues to allow me to serve Him in some manner if He doesn't allow me to play in the NBA.
In May 2012 I graduated from Faith with the four-year Administrative Assistant/Women’s Ministries Degree. I worked part-time for the Admissions Department for the last 2 ½ years of college, and I desired to continue working for the school so I could have a small part in other students being impacted by Faith as I have. I wish that all students could have the opportunity to attend a Bible college and be saturated with God’s Word. It’s changed my life! God has given me a passion for people and ministry–I love what I do!
Hello! My name is Tyler Terlouw, I am one of the admissions representatives for FBBC this year. Before graduating in the spring of 2012, I was able to take advantage of many different ministry opportunities through the school. Some of my favorites were mission trips to South Africa, summer ministry teams, basketball, and teaching Sunday School at my local church! I love being able to travel and represent the school all across the nation, and I'm excited to see what the rest of the year will bring. I hope to be in ministry full-time some day and am excited to see how God continues to lead!
I am Phil Cox, and I am one of the admissions guys that travels the United States telling high school students about Faith. When I first came to Faith as a freshman, my plan was to be here for just a year and study God’s Word. But as I did that and began learning and growing in my walk with Him, He gave me a greater desire and passion for ministry. I graduated from Faith in 2012 with a major in the Associate Pastor Program with minors in Youth Ministry and Biblical Counseling. Some of my favorite parts about being a student were traveling to South Africa with Faith’s missions team and being on summer camp teams that represented Faith at churches and camps—experiences that gave me the opportunity to experience ministry first hand and develop a greater passion for ministry. I joined the Admissions team in August of 2013 and hit the road soon after that traveling across the United States sharing what God is doing at Faith and how He used Faith to mold my life. When I’m not traveling, I love to hunt, fish, and do pretty much anything outdoors.
Hello! My name is Grace Kudlo and I am from Wakeman, Ohio. I am a freshman this year and am in the two-year Office Administration program. I love my classes and my teachers! I have been able to play as a Lady Eagle on the soccer team and am looking forward to playing on the basketball team as well. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me while I am a student at Faith and to learn all that He has to teach me. I am excited to talk to prospective students as they make plans for their college years!
I am Kelsey, and I grew up in Manaus, Brazil. This is my senior year in the Missions program at Faith, and I am loving all my classes and what the Lord is teaching me. There are so many great opportunities to serve in the churches in the area and in the Ankeny community. I am excited to see what God has in store for me as I graduate in the spring. I am looking forward to talking with you as you consider what college to go to next year!
Hey! My name is Zach and I am from Washington, Illinois. This is my first year at Faith after transfering from a community college back home. I am in the 4-year Biblical Studies program and will be graduating in 2015. I love to play soccer and was able to play on the Faith soccer team this year! It has been great to see how God is teaching and stretching me while I'm here. Faith is truly a great place to learn and grow in your walk with God. I would love to tell you more about why I love it here!
Hey, I'm Grace, and my passion is people. My desire is to take every opportunity I'm given to build into the lives of people—particularly high school students. I believe Faith has provided me a great opportunity to do just that! I call prospective students because I think Faith's a fantastic place and because I know firsthand the eternal impact it can have. In 2011 I graduated with a degree in Local Church Ministries with an emphasis in Women's Ministry. The next year I went on to study in our seminary. My time as a student at Faith changed my life, and it's my privilege to pay it forward!
