Mr. Backous came to Faith as the head soccer coach in 2008 after an solid background in coaching. At Faith he has built an outstanding record as a coach and a mentor of men. Since coming to Faith, Coach Backous has expanded his role to serve as the strength and conditioning coach and the track coach. In addition, he teaches the Physical Education courses that prepare students for a coaching authorization. Gary and his family are active members of Nevada Baptist Church in Nevada, Iowa.
