Serving the Lord as an assistant pastor or a youth pastor is a great privilege and responsibility. You will have the opportunity to make a spiritual impact on many people, especially teenagers.

Faith offers three options in the Assistant Pastor program.
• The Assistant Pastor major with a Youth minor

Core Courses in the Assistant Pastor Training Program

Youth Minor
Do you remember a youth leader or youth pastor who was instrumental in your life? You can have that same impact in teens' lives today. Teens need to have a godly role model who is grounded in the Word to help them navigate their way through these years. This minor will give you a thorough training in Bible and theology along with practical ministry courses and real-time experience in youth work.

Specialized Courses in the Youth Minor

Music Minor
If you have musical talents and sense the Lord wants you to serve as an assistant pastor, consider this minor. It offers 32 hours of music theory and practical application to equip you for church ministry. The solid Bible education you receive will help you establish and lead a music program that honors the Lord. This program also includes an internship to give you experience in the ministry of an assistant pastor.

Specialized Courses in the Music Minor

Youth and Music Minor
Many churches today are looking for a youth pastor who can also lead the music program. This minor includes a strong emphasis in music that equips you to lead congregational singing, choirs, and ensembles. The assistant pastor emphasis provides training in youth ministry, preaching, and serving on the pastoral team. This combination gives you the tools you need to minister with confidence.
